The Blacklist is a breakout hit American TV show that premiered on NBC in 2013. The premise of the show is centered around former U.S. Naval Officer Raymond “Red” Reddington (played by James Spader), who turned to the dark side and become a high-profile criminal following his service to his country. Reddington ultimately voluntarily turns himself in – but on one condition. He will provide the FBI with information that he has gathered over the years on the world’s most wanted criminals, in exchange for immunity from prosecution for his own crimes.
